We strongly support a charity group called "Habitat for Humanity" -http://www.habitat.org.au/
Our goal is to start a charity of our own called HOPE BUILDERS- building homes for the homeless, by the gifts and donations and purchases of our led candles which we in aim are "Illuminating Poverty, putting a bright light on it for the world to see. By doing this we will hope to Eliminate Poverty"

Building homes, communities and hope.
At Habitat for Humanity Australia, we believe it all starts at home, that a decent home provides much more than bricks and mortar. It’s the foundation for giving families the opportunity to be healthier, happier and more secure, and leads to stronger communities that can then grow and sustain themselves.
Building a house for one family, changes the lives of so many more. For around AUD$2,500, we typically build a house for an entire family.*
Habitat for Humanity Australia has changed the lives of Australians and families all around the world. Your support allows us to continue providing people in need with safe, secure housing and the means to support themselves.
While we’re building, we’re also training, giving local communities the expertise and knowledge they can then share with others. It’s a ‘pay it forward’ model and the beginning of generational change.

Your gift will live on and multiply
Individuals and communities will build new homes and maintain essential services; people will gain vital knowledge, set up businesses in their new homes and assist others in their communities to do the same.
Your donation will also help us improve lives by providing facilities for clean drinking water, building latrines, securing doors or providing safe escape routes from floods and fires.
Together, we can create a world where everyone has a safe and decent place to live.
We believe it all starts at home
We believe a stable, secure home creates the foundation for change, giving people the opportunity to be healthier, happier and more secure and for children to be better nourished and better educated. We believe building a decent home provides much more than bricks and mortar – it provides real hope for the future.
We provide a hand-up not a hand-out
We don’t give hand-outs, we give people a hand-up by building homes in partnership with families. The family contributes labour and a deposit, and we assist with the expertise, financing and importantly, as the no-profit loan is repaid, it helps to finance even more homes for people in need. That means with Habitat for Humanity, your donation goes even further!
We also build new homes using as much volunteer labour and donated materials as possible to keep our construction costs low.
Because the families build their own home with us, they learn valuable new skills to share with others who can then also earn a living.
Habitat for Humanity has built almost 600,000 houses, sheltering more than 3 million people in over 3,000 communities. Every five and a half minutes a family has a better home and a better life thanks to Habitat for Humanity, its volunteers and partners.
We do more than just build houses
We don't just provide a roof – we build communities. It’s all anchored by the conviction that safe, affordable housing provides a critical foundation for breaking the cycle of poverty.
We do this by:
- replacing dirt floors with cement
- building homes that allow for better ventilation
- addressing clean water supply and sanitation issues
- providing training for healthy living and money management
- offering small business and vocational planning
- creating stable environments so children can regularly attend class
- working to secure land tenure and prevent forced evictions.
Our long term goal here at Breathtakingly Beautiful Candles,
is to open a charity of our own very similar to Habitat for Humanity with the aim to eradicate poverty this is something that can be done, living in a country where we have plentiful more than we need and a strong dollar it is not hard to support someone overseas where our money can be stretched to help those in need.
I can't imagine allowing someone I care about or even a stranger to sleep on the street near open sewers and allowing this to go on for generations to come. Breathtakingly Beautiful Candles, we are ambitious to make a change to others lives with every dollar we can spare we will endeavour to make a difference even after we may pass away as individuals. We hope to still be running and freeing those afflicted by circumstances beyond their control and providing them with a roof over their heads.
We don't believe in just helping someone in their time of need and leaving it be. We want to help people and communities, provide them with skills so that they can continue to help each other the way each and everyone should help one another. We put people before profit, meaning we care about helping people and we hope that as you grow to know us you will share the same dreams.
